A picnic with Mr. Darcy
Today me, Jenny and Rosie went for a picnic to Chatsworth House. Ok, Mr. Darcy wasn’t actually there. Shame. But the Duchess of Devonshire is and it was still fun! I first met Jenny and Rosie in our first year of uni. We were in the same Halls of Residence. I haven’t seen them for 18 months so it was nice to have some girly time.

Beautiful! Thanks for sharing the pics Rachel. I hope someday to see those places. What I loved most about the newest P&P was the cinematography. The landscape was stunning.

The third picture is so beautiful it almost looks fake! I hope you fully appreciate. Where I’m from, it’s flat and brown as far as the eye can see. Beautiful pictures; thanks for sharing!

OH to live at Pemberly with Mr. Darcy!!! A fun dream I had when I was single and discovered Miss Jane Austen and the A&E version of Pride & Prejudice.
Now happily married, but I’ll still cry if I watch Sense & Sensibility. My heart breaks and soars each time I see it.

Eric - what is the ‘brilliant’ commercial like?! Maybe we have it too. Pride and Prejudice was filmed at Chatsworth. It was Mr. Darcy’s house.
We had another picnic this weekend to celebrate Father’s day at another Stately home so I’ll post about that soon. Having seen lots of very new stuff in California, I appreciate our old stuff much more than I did before. I love imagining the people who lived at these places in the 1700’s and 1800’s.
