Happy Birthday to me!
What a brilliant day! Thank you to everyone who commented/emailed their best wishes - I’ve felt very special. This morning I opened my presents. You can see photos on Sam’s blog. He got me a really cool bag - briliant for our trip to LA!, a lovely bracelet and The Preacher’s wife on DVD.
I had the day off work so met Sam in his lunch hour then went shopping with my friend and workmate Ceri who also had the day off. We went into Sheffield city centre and wandered round the continental and international market stalls. It was really fun and she bought me a beautiful ring. She also bought us HUGE chocolate muffins covered in belgian chocolates - mmmm! I bought lots of things with gift vouchers from Sam’s parents - mainly clothes and some sunglasses which Sam says make me look glamorous!
This evening my parents drove up to Sheffield and took us out for a meal to a lovely French restaurant. It was yummy - and I got more presents! I feel very loved and incredibly special. Tomorrow we’re going out with lots of friends to Starbucks for morning coffee and big cake. Yum. I’ll post pictures tomorrow. Here are some from today……
My birthday breakfast with cake!

Sheffield markets
Me and my huge muffin (I didn’t get any picture of Ceri! I’ll get one tomorrow)
Dinner with Sam, Mum and Dad
I like this picture of me and my mum ( I’m eating mussels!)
I seem to have done a lot of eating but the people were the bit that meant the most - those in person and those in cyber space! Thanks everyone! Bring on the 26th year. If this one is anything to go by, it’s gonna be good.

Happy birthday, Rachel! I’m glad you were born.
Love the picture of you and your mom; two lovely ladies gracing us with their genuine happiness.
Enjoy your journey this year, and let me know what 25 feels like; I’ll be there next year so I’d like to know what to expect when I turn a quarter of a century.
Bit of a landmark, no?
