Happy Good Friday! I love Easter. Better than Christmas in some ways. We’ve had fun today. Well, mostly fun. My day started with a trip to the hospital because I came out in horrid red itchy lumps. An allergic reaction to something I’ve eaten. All over my body and really, really annoying. I’m being very grown-up and not scratching…much. I got tablets from the doctor at Sam’s parents’ local hospital and am feeling better already. I think I ate some sweets with bad E-numbers in.

I was just thinking that Jesus had a bit more than an itchy body to deal with. No one said “here you go Jesus, take these tablets 3 times a day and your suffering will end�. He kept going all the way to death because he thought we were worth it. Awesome. It worried me a bit when I thought that if someone said “Rachel, if you will cope with red itchy lumps all over your skin for a day, you could save mankind and give them a life they’ve never even dreamed of�, a) I would probably not believe them, and b) I would rather be comfortable and itch-free. I’m amazed that something done 2000 years ago by a man I’ve not physically met could affect me so deeply today. My life is a life worth living and itches or no itches, I will live it to the full.

We’ve been staying at Sam’s parents’ house with his siblings and our niece and nephew living life to the full to celebrate the life we’ve been so graciously given..
