Hakuna Matata & Happy Birthday!
We had a great weekend in London. I thought I’d share some pictures. My favourite bit was seeing The Lion King musical. The music was amazing (it’s the second time I’ve seen it!) and the creativity and overwhelming-ness of it all moved me to tears. I love it when that happens!

Liberty’s Dept Store

The flowers outside - I love flowers! (Are you reading this Sam?!)

The apple store - Sam’s highlight! It was the busiest place we went into..

Our hotel

On Sunday we went to Hillsong London - a church held in one of the West End theatres. It was nice to experience different worship and to see how other people do church. I really felt their commitment to excellence and making you feel welcome. I’d choose to do church differently to them in some ways but appreciated what God is doing through them in a city like London.

Here are some birthday pictures from Sam’s birthday yesterday.
The birthday chocolate fudge cake - I can use these candles again when Sam’s 82!

Celebrating in the pub with friends - eating cake!

Lovely pics! The Lion King music almost always moves me to tears at some point. I played it while I was in labor with Max…26 hours! So now when I hear it I think of that time.
That cake looks yummy. Did you make it?
I was looking through your pics yesterday and got a kick out of the Apple Store picture in there…did Sam try to get away with a new computer?

I did make the cake. It took me an evening and I tried to make it a surprise! Sam thought I’d disappeared!
