About Me
Deana posted these questions on her blog so I thought I’d answer them here. I enjoyed thinking about them. I think I learnt something new about me! Maybe I just reminded myself of bits I’d forgotten….
Four jobs I’ve had in my life:
1. Literacy teaching assistant with 11-16 year olds
2. customer service person on the phones for a catalogue company
3. working in a pizza factory
4. Speech therapist!
Four movies I can watch over and over:
1. My best Friends Wedding
2. The Lion King
3. The Sound of Music
4. Four Weddings and a Funeral
Four places I have lived:
1. Woodhouse Eaves, Leicestershire UK (small village where I grew up)
2. Sheffield

4. Sheffield (Haven’t moved around much!)
Four TV shows I love to watch:
1. Neighbours (Australian soap - I’ve watched it since I was young. Good talking point with new people cos everyone has watched it at some point in their lives!)
2. CSI
3. 24
4. Midsomer Murders (drama about a small country English village where the detective has to solve murders. I’m surprised they have any people living there still! I like TV programmes where people solve murders)
Four places I have been on vacation (translation for British people: holiday!):
1. Legoland, Denmark
2. South Africa
3. New York
4. Canada (Calgary, Jasper, Toronto)
Four websites I visit daily:
1. Other people’s blogs
2. Gmail
3. not a lot else
4. ?
Four of my favourite foods:
1. Fish and chips
2. Sausage and mash
3. Roast beef and yorkshire pudding
4. Chicken fajitas (less British than the others!)
Four places I would rather be right now:
1. Walking in the peak district
2. Watching fireworks on Guy Fawkes night
3. Eating dried mango in South Africa
4. In a posh hotel in the middle of a big city

what is Mash? Love all of your movies too…pretty much anything with hugh grant and julia roberts I love to watch! I love love love Knotting Hill too!

Bangers and mash is such an odd, counter-intuitive combination to me. If I eat sausage, it’s nearly always the German or Polish sort, with sauerkraut. Mashed potatoes would just be…wrong. But I love a good Sunday Roast with Yorkshire Pudding! One of my favorites. I’ll have to do this poll…

Mashed potatoes go with roast beef. Sausage goes with onions…or BBQ’d with fried potatoes.
I think I’d rather be in a fancy hotel in the middle of a big city, too!
When did you go to Legoland? WAs is fun?

What did you do in a pizza factory? I can just see little Rachel (are you short like me?) tossing pizza crust in the air.

Debbie, I like sausages with fried onions in a bread bun - big fan of BBQ’s. We have mashed potatoes AND roast potatoes with roast beef!
Legoland was when I was 10 but I remember it being so much fun - very magical! The pizza factory was a Summer job when I was a student. I was on toppings. We did orders for restaurants and they got transported frozen. On my first day I was standing next to someone who worked there full time (rubbish pay and hours) who greeted me with “I hate students”! Nice welcome. Never want to do that again! I got hand strain from crumbling feta cheese and had a permanent aroma of red onion!
I’m about 5′8″. so tall-ish. Good job really cos Sam’s 6′3″!
Mel, I had german sausage at a continental market that comes to Sheffield every month - yummy. Feel free to visit for a Sunday roast! You should do the questions…we’d learn lots!
