My first vox post
Just thought I’d have a go at posting. I’d only just got used to xanga but Sam assures me he’ll guide me through everything! We’re having a lovely weekend. My parents and both brothers were staying for my graduation so we got to spend lots of celebratory time together. It was nice seeing all my coursemates graduating together, all looking like teachers from Hogwarts! The gowns are the most awkward things to wear but it was all worth it! I felt a sense of achievement and was reminded of all the support I needed throughout my training and how brilliant Sam and my family were in cheering me on for two years. Thank you all so so much. I love you!
ooh, yesterday we booked our flights to LA for origins - that’s it now, we’re definitely going! Very excited. Hope everyone is having a good weekend…

Yeah!!! Congrats on your graduation!!! Your hood is beautiful. My masters hood was an icky light blue. Origins won’t be your first trip to the states, will it?

Hi Lori, I’ve been once before 6-ish years ago to New York, Boston and random bits of New England for a couple of weeks but never to the West coast. Going to the states is a big deal! Have you been to LA? (Don’t know if that’s a silly question or not?!) What’s it like if you have? (any one can answer that one!)

Hi Rachel,
OK it’s official! I can’t wait to share California with you. I hope you will be able to visit our home too. I am excited about Origins.
As we drove home from the airport last week I was struck by how much space we have. Everything is so spread out here. Our house felt really big too. In fact, after being in Europe and loving the way people do life we are inspired to remodel our home to make it smaller–not bigger which is the mindset of most Americans.

Tina, I’d love to visit your home! Especially hearing so much about it. I like our small house - we can fit at least 22 in it - it’s cosy but I think it’s good for relationship building! Close in spirit and proximity!
